Guest Ditch_Shitter
Just what the f*ck is wrong with some people on this forum?! 'No mention of ferrets' ? No? Well maybe the shooting is to be done to ferret bolted rabbits? Perhaps, rabbits being classed as Agricultural Pests, the entire f*cking column should be moved to the Pest Control board? And maybe anyone with " Terrier " in their handle may be more comfortable lashing out amongst the TerrierMen on the Working Terriers board? But only, of course, if Their terriers 'Work', in the given sense which many on that board subscribe to? Or we can all go sit in our own little corners and pull faces at every c*nt else? Eh? FFS! FL: Of course he'll want a gun! Just check out the current law on the age at which he's allowed to carry one ~ under adult supervision ~ and start sniffing round for a nice, light .410 for him. Pick one up for next to nothing these days. I carried a .410 - by personal choice - for years. It's nice to carry. Responds faster. Lower report. Lower recoil. Less possible damage in case of disastors. But it dropped everything I fired it at, including fox! It's Not a 'Toy' or a 'Kids Gun' (No Firearm is!). It's a damn good tool for introducing anyone to responsible shot gun shooting. Many may suggest a 20 bore. But, while I'm sure they're a lovely gun too, a .410 will likely be that much easier come by. I'd suggest a breech opening .410 too. Bolt action's, like the Savage, while being intrinsicly more 'sexy' are also bloody woody and thus heavy. Of course; Ye can always get Certed up and call it 'Your' gun! Just let the lad have a pop with it ..... Enjoy ye day. And remember to stay behind the Shooters - and wear some ear defence! Quote Link to post
Guest baldie
As far as i,m aware [and i would have to check] there are no restrictions on shooting on good friday, mainly because no game is in season, apart from roe buck. The only restricted days for game, are sunday, and christmas day [i think], plus rabbits are classed as vermin.I believe deer can be taken on a sunday? but a lot dont do it. I personally wont shoot on good friday. Quote Link to post
