New Pup

Hi every1 i have just got a new pup collie whippet x saluki greyhound just wanted 2 kno as much as i can bout bringin me pup on he is 4month old now very active and loves being with other dogs any help on bringin him on will be a great help thanks a lot

Let him be a pup but drill in the basic obendience....recall, heel, and retrieving......drill it and reinforce it now......mix it up and don't use the same routines as pups will soon get bored

 

progress from ball to dummy wrapped in rabbit fur.... .....................instinct will do the rest

 

A lurchers natural instinct is to chase...so really you dont have to worry about that too much.........

 

Only time will tell whether or not the pup will make the grade...but gradual introduction and enhancement of its natural instinct is the way forward......another 6 - 7 months, the pup should be having an occasional run, but nothing too demanding
