cubby 3
headed up to our usual permission arriving just after 8am, had spoke to the farmer on the phone a he said there was plenty rabbits about. walked across the first field without spotting any moving. did a few small sets on a hill side with no return. so turned to a little strip of woods and did a further three sets still without any rabbits and having only seen one rabbit run in front of us as we entered the woods. we moved to another hill side that was usually productive. but after doing a few small sets and one large one without any returns. we decided to move a couple of miles up the road to what is a very productive area. we walked across to a nice twenty holer and yet again nothing. wa really starting to worry that either someone was hunting the ground or the rabbits had been wiped out, but the farmer had seen plenty :censored: . we covered a fair amount of ground before we eventually got one then another six followed all from one park from three sets close to each other. so after seven hours we had seven our poorest return i many years hopefully not a sign of what lies ahead. also to add insult to injury i had to dig down four feet to get a collar back that had snapped :censored: . now does anyone know where i can get leather collars for mk1 8ft collars and how do i attach the receiver to the collar.
