Not in my experience (1 bitch). But it will make you regret neutering if you later decide that you really would have liked to breed from the animal...

i have tow here, dog and bitch. i was going to get both done.

just worried that it might lessen their drive a bit.

Are they terriers? If so, that is a bit f*****g steep! Shop around. When we had my girlfriend's Lab castrated the local vet quoted £150, but my sister's vet was only £100...
