ND30- chinese copy of laser genetics ND3 review.

Now how do i discribe this? Well laser genstics market it as an alturnative to night vision !

Well im sorry to say they are having a laugh,it is never going to be that no matter what,

BUT

when you think a top end gun mounted light can be very expensive and this is where

these chinese copys start to make sence and start to come into their own.

These copys can be picked up for as little as £65 which will not get you any kind of lamp

which will even come close to the performance of the ND30.

Right lets start with the range of this unit.

with its ajustabe beam on full you can see well past 50 yds as if its day light, and if you focus the beam you can see clearly way out past 150 yrds, maybe even to way past 200 yds but as my scope only goes to 9 times the viewable area is to small to be 100%.

Only draw back is once looking over a certain distance with out using the scope it is a little hard to work out eye shine compared to a normal lamp.

Now before i got this unit i read all the hype on the laser genetics site about how the vermin could not see this light, but after alot of testing i can say its alot of wishful thinking!

Rabbits do see it,but at the same time i also got alot less runners than when lamping,i did try it out on all my permissions and strangely i got less runners on the sites i do most of my lamping? but the light is much softer than any lamp so this may get the same reaction as a lamp does in time.

Now when we come to rat shooting this unit really does what it says on the box!

i tryed it alot as my first finding surgested that the rats could not see the light at all,and dispite every time i tryed it they just carryed on with their busness, well untill a little lead found them anyway.

Now only draw back is wind chill, the unit did lose power/light when there was a bitter wind chill but i found just holding your hand on the unit for a minute counteractted this,or you could use a gell hand warmer and strap it to the unit,as for just cold nights? well i did not find these a problem to be honest.

The unit comes in a nice box, with allen keys,a weaver mount and the normal scope mounting unit which is ajustable(not the greatest but does its job)and both a push button and a remote presure button for stock mounting,it uses a single cr123 but make sure you buy a good one as the one it comes with is fit for the bin.

So is this unit worth the price?

laser genetics ND3 ? no way on this earth!

ND30 chinese copy ? hell yes,no lamp of the same price range will even come close to it.

video fotage and somemore of my findings will be on youtube next week,so be sure to keep your eyes open for it.

Hi Ryan,

I have a green filter for my Ultrafire lamps. I've heard the green is useful win foggy conditions, but I'm tempted to try it out next time I'm in the cemy :D

Thanks for that review and again thanks for our recent transaction :D:thumbs:

well dispite alot of ideas i can not get my camera to pick up the light when its on the gun or out at any distaance, but the video is uploaded and the view at the end of it shows the clear image you get when looking through the scope at over 50 yards,so u still get a dam good idea how well this light works.
