Guest born to run1083
just thought i'd show how my collie x has come on over the last 12 months. in all im more then happy of her progress and is shaping up to be a handy bitch to have about. people who know me know i strive for perfection and most my time is out with the dogs, i must be honest she had me pulling my hair out for a while as she seemed very sensitive and almost sidekick so to speak as she new my mood before i did lol not the case now and is very strong willed which being honest is how i like them and knows what i want her to do without telling her which i love being honest its great to have it like that. ive ran her in england and wales on the hills and mountains and seems to do well at either. her skills on the spot on the lamp are second to none, no squatter is safe. she very rarely misses a squatter now but has a good turn a pace to catch on the run, nothing comapared to my friends rocket of a dog luna but for her cross fast enough. i started her slightly earlyer then i would just from showing me signs she was ready, im glad i did as it gave me chance to iron out things i didnt want in a dog and get her where i wanted her for the hard nights. her weight is great i can shift it to how i need quarry depending and is great as can work alot of straight nights in a row and not drop down weight which is great. stamina is great and has a good running style, her faults i could name is how she is with strangers typicall collie x has to sus you out first but i like that in her and she carries a very high protective trait again which i like and work to my advantage. ive recently started working her with the ferrets this being honest im very new to as only really done 1 season before in my whole time with the working dogs but seems a natural but being honest she has a very good teacher you might have seen her on here its jonnyboy68 collie x gem shes a deman to have round in the day and is teaching my pup well. i have alot to thank jonnyboy for the way she is in the day by training gem to such a good standard. heres a few pics of her see what you think pup Quote Link to post
