the feeling when your hard work pays off

Recommended Posts

Av a pup 7 month tomorrow and he has been a real pleasure traning etc he is so confident and his retreve is so far spot on.

Took him ferreting last week for the first time and it was the first time a had been ferreting in well over a year any way the pup is learning how to mark up sets and getting to the bunnys in the nets so a was very pleased with that.

He has caught a hand full of rabbits before bushing, mooching etc so he knows what to do when he wncounters one

Also av been takeing him lamping just to watch and let him have the odd run with another more experianced dog any way last week a took him out just watch but one jumped up infront of both the dogs so they both got sliped and both shot after it turning it down the field and just before it went under the fenxe the pup picked it up then me mates dog grabed it also getting my pups face which left a whole through his lip but it never bothed him. But a honestly never expected him to get a chance to strike never mind make a kill so am very happy with him and hopefully get a chance at some more towards the end of the season with him
