clifford 11 0 Posted October 18, 2011 Report Share Posted October 18, 2011 Hi do any of you fly your harris hawks in the summer or do you just put them down to molt for the next season. I know some people stop flying for the following reasons. 1. give the bird a chance to moult in peace without damaging new feathers. 2. Give the Falconer a chance to rest and catch up on all the chores the wife has listed! 3. Give the quarry a chance to breed in peace and replenish stocks for the following season. 4. Far too much cover makes losing a bird far too easy. But is there any one out there what keeps going Quote Link to post
