NEWKID 29,316 Posted October 15, 2011 Report Share Posted October 15, 2011 Went ferreting today on a new bit we used 10 yrd stop nets along the hedge at 20 yrd intervals with a lurcher either side my beddy whip on 1 side and my mates the other. It was a good day and the 2 dogs worked really well, my mates dog is 5 and showed his experiance you always knew where the next bolt would be just by watching him, my pup done well too hit the hedge a couple of times to push a rabbit out to the nets and holding in the nets until I got there, she had a good run when a rabbit bolted from where we had moved the nets she jumped the 2 nets in her way and was right on the rabbit to just miss at the hedge. It was good for her to work with the older dog today they've been lamping together but this is the first time ferreting for the pair of them and he's so steady it was good for her to watch. We ended the day with 12, and took a walk around the land for a good look I can't wait to get stuck into this lot theres a bit of everything to keep us busy.
