Because from past experience that is what they usually are David. And it is usually someone who just joins causes a right stir then never posts again ;)

Redrock-I would say it depends on the amount of fox work you intend to do .If your happy with the odd fox and regard it as a bonus if the dog works it [and this is no piss take ,just as I see it] then have the plummer but dont expect a long ,regular career from it ,just the occasional one off maybe .As you have lakelands already ,you will be aware of what a terrier will do and how often .Your choice mate .

a lad i once went out with bought a coalville bitch, out of coalville billy and coalville penny,1998. she had agood nose for finding and would stay, she was a mare on sheep, on the digs she bayed then held, i dug 3 fox,s and she done well. on the last dig she could not hold in one place luckily it was,nt deep but she worked well. to me he had agood bitch to start with but the lad just stopped going out, pitty realy as if he had carryed on he would of had a fare few fox,s with the dog.
