hi all whats the size for the boards for making purse nets

I use two inch boards then two and a eighth and two and a quarter it depends what your knitting with. hemp dont stretch so i use the two and a quarter

I use the same 3 sizes as Bob above for the same reasons. I also use 1" for knitting rat nets and 3" on my fox nets.

Aye for rat nets i was using a 1 inch wide plastic ruler and a guy asked me for fox nets and when i asked about the mesh size he said three fingers wide

so its 1inch for rat nets 2 and abit for rabbits and 3 inch for fox?

Thats near enough ,but remember you will get a bit of give in some materials .For years and years all my purse nets where made with a two inch board but now i use two and a eighth board which lets the rabbits head poke out and makes killing them in the net easier

spot on a 4 1/4 full mesh makes it alot easier to dispatch the bunnies in them.i also use a 3 inch mesh board for fox nets.
