Ideation 8,217
Went to see a farmer this evening and after a lengthy chat, got given permission on a decent sized arable farm and some woodland. I have to go back early next week and meet the neighbors who own the property a long the one edge, as apparently this is where most of the rabbits are, and one of them is a rather important person and anyone skulking about her boundaries is likely to get jumped on by a security detail. . . . joy. Anyway, went for a walk when i got back to stretch the dogs legs (and mine), it was raining and the light was fading, but i managed two, from different sets, before i gave up, went home, to await a fish supper. To be fair, it wasn't great as it was a fair number of nets on each set for the 1 rabbit in each, but the jill i took worked well as usual. The dog seems a bit 'down' though, so i'll have to watch him. I think that;s been me out and caught at least one everyday this month so far. . . . might see if i can keep it up. Looking forward to Saturday for my second 'proper' day out mooching with the ferrets and dogs in the ever appreciated company of Johnnyboy68. Alas we will be lacking our rabbit carrier and apprentice Tom, as i think he will be off chasing foxes somewhere. atb Jai. Quote Link to post
