super_ray47 0
Hello, I'm looking to buy my first air rifle and have been in contact with a lad selling a .22 cometa fenix 400, the gun looks good and the seller seems genuine so I'm going to test it out before I decide to buy it, just wondering, how do I tell if its in good condition and worth buying and what should I be looking out for? Also how much should I be paying for such a rifle in good condition? Thanks in advance for any advice. Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
If it is rusty, the barrel pointing to one side, with a cracked stock and a missing trigger guard then safe to say, it is not in as factory condition. Just make sure it shoots where you are pointing it at, that it appears to be in good clean operating condition and ask if he has any receipts for servicing/spares etc. Price will vary with condition and what comes with it, if it comes with a scope some pellets and a bag then around the £150-£170 mark seems to be where the market is at.
