Guest Dale
there was a post simular to this one not long back , and ill just say same advice , IMO i would get a pup and train in through the off season , spend time with your new working partner get to know each other , make sure everythng in solid within the dog , i.e stock broken , broken to ferrets ect , ( if to be used with) , as for breeding that part is up to you , any breed can make the grade if brought up correctly , there is no rule in sayin bull x are just for big stuff and whippety things just for rabbits , i have to very differnt breeds of dogs one is only 18 '' to shoulder the other 29'' , but both work as good as each other , and will both do the job when needed , ... look at what ground your going to be working , then look at the breed of pup you may think will suit your needs , then most importantly dont rush and pick just any pup , take your time , make sure its the right dog. people make mistakes all time then the dog/pup just get passes about. this advice is just my opinion so no funny remarks please . cheers Dale
