ferret boxes what to use

Recommended Posts

yea i like the bow back ones do you jig saw themout or router them to get the bow

The bow is achieved by using a router and jig and the ply is curved to fit using a jig and other methods to make it workable.

I have made countless boxes that have ended up in the bin with a lot of swearing and dissapointment. trial and error is the way forward untill you get an idea as to how the pieces fit togeather. 9mm isnt the easiest to work with but it can be done

No i dont use screws on my ferret boxes other than the fittings and if i were to i would certainly pilot.

12mm + is fine for terrier boxes, i use 9mm for ferret boxes because its light.

The right choice of ply type will also help and make ease for a strong construction and good finnish
