Guest dances
When my mates nephew bought rio we bred him to a straight greyhound next door, my mum had to hand rear the full litter of 5 dogs. 4 of them flew out the door but noone wanted the runt so at about 10 weeks he was stopped advertised and we kept him. The dog became an absolute stunner and made 27 tts, he was a good strong dog and didn't seem to feel pain for silly things. Put a lot of time into him for recall and retrieving and had him picking up bunnies nicely. We wanted to enter him slowly so waited until he was close to 2. We allowed the other dog to catch and slowly took the pup up and allowed him to take the back end. Once the fox was almost dead we pulled the adult dog of, as the fox turnt but before he made contact the pup released nd start barking. We let this go down to expierence and ran him doubled up a few times and he looked ok but didn't get any bites. Then at about 26-28 months july arrived so we decided to try him on a cub. Called one in on a big field, let the pup go and he coursed it like a good'un. He then caught it almost dead centre, took one bite barked and ran back. We tryed him a few more times but to no avail. He's now living his days as a pet that gets taken rabbiting occasionally. http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s199/johnny1609/dogs/casual/th_000_0418.jpg http://pbr152.photobucket.com/albums/s199/johnny1609/dogs/casual/000_0419.jpg Quote Link to post
windyhill 30
if my dog didnt make a good grade for ME i would let it sleep in the house,i dont do loads and i dont get big numbers 2 maybe 3 rabbits once or twice a week. But i can understand the lads who do it proffesional or semi pro not keeping jacking dogs in there kennels as i wouldnt ever if my income relied upon it Quote Link to post
