trigger2 3,214
just got back in from a quick session with the lamp my pup and old dog had 13 rabbits in total 12 to the big dog and 1 to my pup who is just under 5 months old and is coming on very well. i noticed on the last outing that the pup had started to make a put at the rabbits that were turning back to him and were within striking distance. early on in the walk tonite he showed great promise and was running well with my my old dog. the 12th caught rabbit of the night managed to avoid the clutches of the old dog by turning and going through a bunch of nettles only to appear out the otherside right by the pup who had to turn sharply to get onto the rabbit, he then took the rabbit down the hedgeline about 10 or 15 yards and all of a sudden he made a put for the rabbit and this time he got it right he had done it caught his first non myxi rabbit. this was his second rabbit ever, the first being a myxi rabbit around a month ago.
