micheal rennicks 17
Myself and my mate were fishing on lene again today. We were trolling for trout or pike or anything that would take.Anyway as we came around one of the islands we noticed a chap landing what looked like a large fish,we could just see him net it as we were about 200yds away.We were looking across at him when he waved us over.We reeled in our own lines and went across to him.As we approached he thanked us for coming over and handed my mate a camera and asked would he take a few pics.My mate said no prob and then the chap proceeded to lift his net from the oppisite side of his boat to reveal a very big pike.My mate took the pics and the chap then weighed it and it was 27half lb,caught on the fly.He was an english bloke and told us that was his 4th pike over 20lb in 2 days on the fly in lough lene.He then asked us had we caught anything but my mate was too embarresed to show him so we just said not yet.The pike was released unharmed and we finished on 3 trout,6 jack pike and 1 perch. some pike on the fly, jasus ya didnt do to bad horse.been fly fishing last month about 3 fish worth taking home is all i got.the cousin got 5 lber near virginia last sat.river very low the not feeding properly or im just shite at it.
