Guest dances
All my dogs are perfectly good with pigeons, they'll walk around the garden fine without touching them but they still don't touch feather when in the field. Reason I write this is that I was just up the field and a pheasant jumped up yards infront of my bull crossand he didn't even attempt to grab it but turnt and walked back to me. Is there a way of having it so my dogs are still good around the racers but peg the odd pheasant or woody etc. Quote Link to post
HAMMERDAN 25
Chances are mate, if you've trained them to keep off your pigeons, they won't nail them in the field, don't tell the dog off for not chasing birds, it's only doing what you want it to do, anyway mate, I wouldn't lose sleep over it, aslong as its game for the quarry you want it for then jobs a goodin.. To be honest I'd prefer a dog that didn't go for feather if I kept pigeons myself, otherwise you could end up losing a few, Atb Dan. Quote Link to post
