has bbeen said k9 some folk use the egg food syatem ,but for the best results on the feather carophyl his the tried and tested way when moulting youngsters its best to use airy flights ,hence saves the mess in the breeding boxes .hen birds in mules dont take the carophyl has the cocks do and can be a guide for the beginer has which are cocks and hens ,having the mixture in the water correct his a must so one does not burn the birds finished plumage,Noneed to worry about tinging youngsters flight wings tails etc because its only a body moult on young birds unless however some get pulled by other birds .Myself i prefer not to have to strong a mix with the colour keep colour feeding way after the moult and this enhance the sheen of colour over the bird without burning ,i hope this helps and good luck with the stock atb bunnys.

 

 

thanks for the advice think i will use the carophyl in their water method for the birds in flights and in their egg food in the breeding cages then should see the difference in the two after the moult if any

I used a level teaspoon of Carophyll red to a litre of water when I've used it, 5 days on and 2 days off using just water, this way the bird will not be burnt and it gets a break from the colour food which if used in excess can cause liver damage....

ive been given them 1/2 teaspoon of carophyll red to a litre ov water on me goldie mules as there back outside,n red eggfood for me greenie mules as there inside
