Shot this vixen whilst out with the .222 last night .It came flying in to a squeak and I could see things were a bit out of sorts as it had the creamy glow in the lamp beam .Weve been lucky about these parts for a long time now,due in no small part to the amount of control carried out .I hate seeing them like this and had almost forgotten what it looked like .This one was called from off a tip where mange was very bad 5 years ago.She was barren .

Incidently ,this is my 39th fox since christmas day ,how are you lads doing ?

The numbers always seem to swell about now, around us,and mostly vixens Ive noticed ,probably looking for a den .

Before anyone says about shooting pregnant vixens and spoiling future sport ,theres never been any shortage down here ,no matter how hard we hit them and we are after all ,doing it for predator control and not purely for sport. Good hunting all -foxdropper .

Ps- incidently ,this vic seemed to be totally blind on inspecting her eyes .

I'm on 13 but should be more but just can't take some shots as theres alot of houses and roads around me

Had 2 stood real close behind each other 80 yards, .222 bipod to lean on and the estate owners kitchen window as a backstop!!!

Foxdropper can i ask where abouts you are as its the same for me, i'm surrey/sussex! Just wondering if its a regional thing!
