Guest Nightwalker
In reply to nightwalkers comments i dont think anyones bitching about it, just debating if any party would honestly stand and say thay would turn over the ban. I agree with you nightwalker it is something that i and many others try and hold on to but, when talk is cheap and words are meaningless politictions seem to be the main players in what can be just a cleaver use of words and empty promises. sadly the phrase of actions speak louder than words has never been so true. For all that has been said and done how much has been changed over the last 2 years? Cleaver wording and easy speaking keep the masses quiet for a while but people arnt fools, we can all see when the wool is being pulled over our eyes. If Mr Cameron is true to his words and i hope he is, how long will it be after he gets in (if he does) that he will try to overturn the ban, because im sure others that helped to put him there will all want him to sort their probs out first before hunting gets a look in. At the weekend the Times reported that the conservatives were saying that they would repeal the ban 'within the first few weeks in office' - no tinkering about with it - a straight repeal . And yes, it seems that this is going to be a manifesto committment.

T.F.Student 0
I'd vote for anyone who said they'd repeal the hunting act (Same as you Frank) So long as there in with a chance With regard to a timeframe, a one line bill is a very quick thing, not at all like the situation to get the ban...sort of...do you want chips..yeh's and neyh's, chips it is then. BUT, before it is put to the vote the majority will have to be there, and with the way this government has conducted itself and failed the country in so many ways, i think there's a very good chance Edited February 27, 2007 by T.F.Student

There is some encoragement in those words for sure, but as with anything to do with politics there is allways someone waiting in the wings to scuppa another mans aims. Dont get me wrong i would love to se a return to hunting as it was but im a sort of believe it when i see it kind of guy. And before anyone thinks im an anti or a harbinger of bad news, im not, a realist maybe. So as it stands so far we need Mr Cameron in office, and the majority to attend Not much to ask realy is it? Untill the ban is lifted i suppose i will have to keep putting my hand in my pocket and carry on supporting those that i do. And when the time comes for me to put an X in the box i will do exactly that, but unless we ALL make a little effort it will come to nothing.
