Continuing my rant!

Recommended Posts

Continuing on from where I left off: http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/204446-cannot-wait-to-get-out-shooting/page__p__2076344#entry2076344

So today (15/6(send away 16/5 for the second time)) the gunsmith finally delivered the rifle back to the store just as I turned up too so the gunsmith was still there. They tried it out and the guy came back and said to his boss is Andy (the gunsmith) still here? He asked why and he replied "It's only doing 7 foot pounds" **** sake I thought. So he finds the gunsmith and before I know it the gun is out the stock and he's tweaking with it they do a few more chronos and say it's doing 11.47FPE. By this time it was 17:15 and they're suppose to shut at 17:00 so I guess they said this to get rid of me so they could go home.

I get home and chrono the gun to find it's only doing about 430fps with 16gr pellets (AA Field) - the so and sos!

So 5 weeks, 20ish phonecalls and £65 later I've got a gun that's still not able to dispatch quarry efficently.

I also got told it needed a service which will set me back £150 when I know Hull does them for around £70. I'd much rather get my £65 back for the time they've had my rifle and not fixed it and send it to Hull or either A&M which Sweeney-Todd recommended.

Now where would I take it from here? Is there anyone who is above the RFDs and sees everything runs smoothly etc who I could deal with to get this sorted if they refused to refund my money as I no longer with to deal with this RFD as the gunsmith clearly isn't good at what he does and the shop itself doesn't seem to give a toss because they've lied to me numerous times.

Any help would be appreciated as I am furious to say the least and would like to hear if anyone else has been down a similar route.

Thanks,

Rich.
