antique 12 bore

just picked up from auction 2 x decommissioned 12 bores with certs circa 1903 davenport and cresant .. anyone got any idea on the value ,,, guns aint my thing i got em cheap enough so thought i`d have a gamble on them ...

By decommissioned take it they have plugs welded into the barrel and the breech face has been milled out?

 

If so, they're only use now is as a wall piece so whatever someone is prepared to pay for one really. Suppose someone might give you £50 for one. Wouldn't really know, prefer them if they still go bang

cheers -- the barrells have been blocked they`ve got proper certs look tidy ones a 1899 the other 1903 i know thr show pieces now .. breech face i`ll have to look .. doing an antique fair friday did`nt want to sell them to cheap or expensive ..

Depends how badly someone wants a wall piece I suppose. i'm just thinking there's not a huge amount of money about and its one of those things people could do without if they had to.
