RogerTheCat 3
I had a short session decoying crows this afternoon which was spoilt by my chair breaking. It is one of those camping ones that folds up into a sort of long rectangle that then goes into a slip so you can carry it over your shoulder. Nice and light but not sturdy enough to take the weight of someone like me who has clearly eaten all the pies. Could anyone recommend a chair. I do not have a 4x4 and the land I shoot is very hilly. Therefore I have to carry everything myself to the place I want to shoot. So I would like something portable. I have seen the idleback chair on youtube being used by George Digweed. He is no lightweight so that seems sturdy enough but looking on line the chair seems to be very expensive for what it is. What over alternatives are there? On the plus side today I shot 10 crows which is my best ever result. Quote Link to post

activeviii 8
bucket seats are all good and well on flat land but as soon as you have a bit of slope of uneven ground then there a pain in the arse. i got rid of mine a long time ago in favour of a carp fishing chair with adjustable legs. i shoot sitting down because i have to but a lot of friend now are changing over to the way i do things. go to the eblag site and pick a good chair up for £20, you will not be sorry and your back will still be friends with you at the end of the day.haha.
