Ossie 11
i knew today wasn't going to be a good one, when i overslept by an hour. took mutt for a run, and he pissed off across the field to the cottage next door, and decided to chase their ducks around, just as the bird who lives there pulled up into the yard. then she tells me off for giving him a whack for being in her garden & chasing her ducks! so off we go home, me now on track to be ten minutes late for work. hopped in the car, get halfway up the road... and realised i'd left me lunch behind... got to work, made my excuses, got sent to work with the printers, baking hot, but ok so far. then i phoned mum & left her a message to find out what time my old terrier was being put down tomorrow. finally got hold of her at quarter to 9, to be told... he'd been put down at quarter past 3!!!!!!!! hossed me phone at the tarmac so hard it splintered into about 8 bits... only managed to find 7 of them... then i got home, went out to the utility to get gyps grub... and the front door slammed behind me, locking me out.... i really expected to find my house had burnt down when i got in from work!!!! BAD DAY!!!!!! rant over, i feel better now!
Ossie 11
Sounds like one very bad day sorry to hear about it and the terrier rip thankyou. Spencer was never really a worker, he had thyroid problems, then developed diabetes in later life. but he was my dog, mine from the day he was born ten and a half years ago (runt in a litter of one!), and he was absolutely devoted to me, as i was to him... a dog like that is priceless, worker or not. he was never put on a lead, he didn't need to be. he'd stick by my side whilst we walked, never looking where he was walking, just at me. as soon as i stood still, he was there in front of me, looking up & waiting for a fuss. he never stopped wagging his tail. i doubt i'll ever find another dog like him. he will be sorely missed.
