beddlington/greyhound 50 Posted May 30, 2011 Report Share Posted May 30, 2011 Hi All i posted a while ago what should i cross my beddy/grey with. it was a choice either a whip/grey or deerhound/grey x collie/grey.i have been out with both dogs seen them work and compared them to my bitch to see what was missing and what might benifit crossing her with.there wasnt alot of difference between the whip/grey apart from he is about 2" smaller, weight & speed pretty much the same, work the same my bitch prob abit more keen.then the deerhound/grey bigger set dog taller by about 1-2",take off speed very quick my bitch is quick but he is unbelievably quick and more stamina.i decided to with the deerhound/grey. yesterday morning she had 9 pups in total 5 dogs 4 bitches. 5dogs are black at the mo prob change colour as the get older. 1 black bitch and 3 thawn. Dam: 1st cross beddy/grey, 24",grey rough coat, works day and night, very keen bitch good nose on her. jumps and retrieves. good on the lamp turns and picks up well. Sire: deerhound/grey x collie/grey, 25" thawn rough coat works day and night, again keen dog. jumps and retrieves.very quick dog turns and picks up well. pups will be up for sale and viewing in about 6 weeks wont be let go until 8 weeks thats if there all eating well etc.will put some pics up as they get older.anyone who could be interested feel free to pm me. cheers just a quick pic taken today Quote Link to post
