Legacy off road tyres

Recommended Posts

It's almost imposable to have "low noise" and top notch off road ability.

You need to be 101% honest with yourself and work out exactly how much off roading you will do and exactly what type of off roading. For simple muddy fields and farm tracks the Avon Ranger range of tyres are a good compromised between quality and cost. I have Avon 70 on my 4x4 based on 80% on road 20% off road because I only drive over stubble and down farm tracks. Insa Turbo remolds look good for the money. Money I guess is what it all comes down to, my Avons cost me £73 each fitted, just shy of £300 for all four. To my mind £300 is a lot of money for a bit of rubber, but it's that rubber that will save our lives on the road if things go wrong. I could have easily spent £700 on something fancy.
