What inch barrel on 22LR

Hi, I'm going to buy a 22Lr. Browning T BOLT! dont know what inch barrel either 16" or 20 ". I do my

short as you can get - 14" is good - no change in accuracy - no downside, just benefits. Consider an overbarrel mod although SAK is ok for .22 and is as quiet as any.

With a .22, the amount of powder which is burnt will be burnt in around 10 inches. Anything over that is just extra metal.

 

If you're shooting from a truck, then 16" is more than you need but better of the two.

Have a SAK moderator on my T-Bolt, does the job just fine.

 

Scope just depends on how much you want to pay. Can go from what i'd say was decent around £200 to thousands.

What are the over barrel silencers like? What's best sort of size scope? 3x9x50 ? Etc

Any moderator will do a good job on a .22

An over barrel type such as DM80 (I have DM80 and SAK and others) has the benefit of being a bit shorter as it is over barrel

Just get a SAK, it is cheap, relatively small and as good as anything for .22

 

As far as scopes are concerned no need to go higher than 16x but do get one with side focus.
