MR TEA POT 1,287
I was out ferreting this morning,on one hedgerow i ferret i set a short long net on one side then set purse nets on the other.I noticed that the rabbits bolting on the long net side where just skipping from hole to hole, and the ones that ran towards the net were just ambling along, where as the rabbits that bolted in to the purse nets were hitting them at speed.Do you folks think that the rabbits know the purse nets are there and try to force their way through at speed?.Or is there some other reson for it?.Just wondering. Guest pursenet
Probably the rabbits were hitting the purse nets at speed because the ferret was right on they're arse mate! the ones that just come out of the holes nice and slow, the ferret has probably lost at some point or gone on to hunt another one instead. I find that when the rabbits hit the net at speed the ferret comes out straight behind it. ATB Pursenet :thumbs-up: Quote Link to post

Guest Ditch_Shitter
Still leaves me wondering though; Why did the ferrets only pursue rabbits onto 'Your' side of the hedge? How come they weren't chasing any out the long netted side? Methinks there's more yet to be beaten out of this one. Where's Chalkwarren? There's a man with the experiance to maybe sort this out for us Quote Link to post
