THLpatrick 555
i know its hard to tell, but if you have any doubts about a strange dog that could possibly attack him avoid it all costs.even if you have to back track on yourself.last thing you need is a f*****g potlicker attacking your pup.can set them back and make them shy of other dogs. as for biting mines is 11month old and he bites my hands when im putting my shoes on or getting his lead.playfull like.and ive tried everyting to get him to stop it.its not a masjor thing and he is just playing.its the bull in him i reckon.as never had another lurcher do that. yeah thought that, im sure about dogs but i was just checking incase i let it get out of hand, shes litrelly a baby and its all playing if it corrects it corrects if not ive just got a rough and tumble with her for a few hours! play is sreiously important to them young Quote Link to post
THLpatrick 555
Think you should have waited till you got your whippet up and going before you got a pup then he could have brought the pup on for you and learned him the ropes now your going have your hands full bring on the two off them but best luck with them both i know this but the pup has a year to mature, i can do the basic traning and sociasling with ease and my friend is going to bring my whippet on with me! planned it out, wasnt a rash descsion. Check my settling in post Quote Link to post
scalesntails 118
Pups, especially Bull breeds, tend to be Orally fixated. It's one of their few means of expression. Very true my coffee table, dining table and chairs took the brunt of it when mine were young but they are growing out it now. Luckily they were all cheap ones. Quote Link to post
scalesntails 118
It's also impressive that the lad is doing his best to get this all right and even more impressive is people actually helping and not taking the piss!! Think we need a group hug! Quote Link to post

Good luck though, just try no to get anymore before the season starts! atb Quote Link to post
