Buster321c 1,010
In a word , NO . Save some more and get a decent springer . You`ll get a decent second hand one for double that . But believe me , for £100 you`ll regret it . Quote Link to post
Lofty8 0
Don't be tempted by the smk stuff out there mate like buster says get a decent second hand rifle. Try and get one with a gas ram rather than a spring if you can. Quote Link to post
Ron Weasley 83
Don't be tempted by the smk stuff out there mate like buster says get a decent second hand rifle. Try and get one with a gas ram rather than a spring if you can. Not sure I agree with anything you've said there Lofty. Admittedly, SMKs aren't finished to an exactly consistent standard, but the likes of the XS19, XS20 and XS38 are all solid rifles. These are rifles genuine branded SMK rifles, built by BAM, and these all cost £150 and upwards. The cheaper end of the SMK range is built by Westlake, and certainly not worth even looking at. The BAM build SMKs can be turned into very nice rifles with a little tune up. That said, this still doesn't fall within the OPs budget of £100. Nivek65, as Buster said, you'll have to closer top double that money to get a decent rifle. Look out for second hand Weihrauchs (the HW95K would probably be a good starting point for you). As for gas rams over spring? That could start a debate, but I'm not really convinced that a rifle fitted with a gas ram is immediately a better option than a springer. Quote Link to post
