The best dog I've had is Corrie, who we unfortunately lost last spring to lymphoma.

She was bred by a chap called Sean from the Isle of Arran, out of his bitch "Tristy", collie/derhound/greyhound lines.

We first met Sean through a mutual friend while we were up there visiting, over a pint or 2 in the bar at Breadalbain (it went along the lines of, slurred speech, "if ever you have pups of that dog....."). Sure enough when we went back 12 months later Tristy had a litter! :drink:

After 8 fantastic years we were devastated to lose her, and would love to track down Sean or any of his breeding to find out about another of the line.

Our friend has now left the Island, and it seems that Sean had moved away too....

Anyone out there got any ideas?

Sorry to hear you lost yours! :( It's the pits isn't it.

if I find one i'll fight you for it!!

She had temprament to die for - my little girl as a baby could crawl all over her, and she used to put toys back in the pram (Grandma was NOT impressed!).

She had brains - where the saluki x would follow on the heels of something, she would cut corners and think ahead of it, and it was all down to instinct (would like to say it was superb handling and training, but have to be honest!!! :D )
