NEWKID 29,104
Had mine out with the ferrets from a young age 4/5 months let her have a look on the lamp at end of the season around 8/9 months old. Only gave her the odd run and took her with a more experianced dog, she caught a couple on the lamp. But only allowed her a couple of runs, gonna work on walking her to heel ( don't want her to work constantly off a slip) and retrieve, her re-call is pretty good, so when next season comes she should be ready When you say hunting is it lamping, ferrets bushing? I suppose don't give her too much too soon but its hard not too when your as eager as your dog Quote Link to post
