Air Arms S410 TDR .22 Barrle Change??

Recommended Posts

I was just wondering if anyone knows if I can change the barrle from my .22 Air Arms TDR to a .177 barrle and how could I go about this? (If it can be done), I'm aware that I'll have to change more than just the barrle.... I would just like someone to give me some advic on how to go about changing it and what kind of tools will I need, also anything I should be carefull about, as I don't want to F*** my gun up in anyway :big_boss:

Many thanks.... Ben

Without looking into it too deeply , i would say that you would need -

S403G - .177 barrel ( carbine ) £110

S546A - .177 Probe (Loading Bolt Assembly ) £33

S502 - .177 Bolt Housing Bush £5

Maybe a breech Block , but unsure at the minute . Possibly £60 - £70

Plus its worth changing the seals ( all of them ) whilst there .

Thanks for that Buster great help :). Do you have any idea where I can get the parts from and would it be a relatively straight forward change?

Thanks again

Parts can be sourced easily enough  And as will all things , only change of you are compitent . The power difference between the .22 ( as it is set now ) and the .177 ( as it will be ) will need addressing straight away . Only to be done by someone who is well versed in these things .

These calibre change questions do come up quite often , i must admit , if it were me , i would probably just get another rifle , more expensive yes , but alot less hassle , and you have more to show for your actions . :whistling:

hi,

i may be wrong in this because i am no expert by far!

i have an s410 in 177.

in my eyes if you change the barrell and all the working parts that need adusting, plus laibour it will come up to the same price as part exchanging your rifle for a 177.

would you not see that as a better option?
