leec 132 Posted February 9, 2007 Report Share Posted February 9, 2007 had a look out last night with stevesel off of here had a good night but a bitch im running star had to be patched up abit we had a few bunnys bout 12/15 star retrieved a hare from about 130 yrds then she retrived a fox stevesel got up the bank just in time to see the injured fox bite back she usually retrives alot cleaner than this but she picked up a couple of rabbits on the way back to the car and it was then i noticed her messy face but she is good as new this morning cheers to a mate of ours this bitch has been abit rough the last 3 or 4 retrieves and seems to be getting rougher any ideas why? but in all a good night ill try and get her out once more before the end of the season when she heals you could see her snout bone about an inch under her eye but she looks well this morning just abit swollen Quote Link to post
MAACCY 105 Posted February 9, 2007 Report Share Posted February 9, 2007 what do you mean mate the dogs getting hard mouthed on rabbit i think its because youve started the dog on fox same happened with my dog if your running the dog on rabbit they know there not going to get bit back but the fox needs a hard mouth and shes treating the rabbits the same cheers kieron Quote Link to post

leec 132 Posted February 9, 2007 Author Report Share Posted February 9, 2007 no mate didnt have jake out last night but hes out for a long one tonight were off to oxford so he will do abit tonight. kieron i mean on fox i should have said careless mate getting bit back abit more than normal she has been at them a while but not huge numbers mate now she seems a little regardless on them but doesnt effect the way she runs anything else Quote Link to post
