As you may know the other half bought me an AT44 W10 the othe week, as well as that we bought a pump from Partridge Guns and Country Store. We picked up my brand new weapon and we also picked up a pump, he sold us a second hand 4 stage FX jobbie for £100. Not exactly cheap I know, but a saving of £ or so! Money has to be reigned in to afford Mrs Moles shooting hobby (or so I claim)! Well took the Hatsan out onto the range that Partridges have behind their shop, fired it, loved it, never though about pumping it up.

 

Range again, fire again, really enjoying setting this baby up and firing without my arm being stabbed in the elbow by red hot scalpels! Get home and decide to use the pump. Put the adaptor onto the pump, tighten up, and pshhhhhhhh, air is escaping from the adaptor holder. Tighten a bit more, no use, still air escaping, gets up to about 40 bar, nowhere near enough.

 

Take it to the shop, he has a go, 40 bar only! So he says, try some ptfe tape, well I thought, give it a go. Bought some PTFE tape, with that on and tightened up, it was managing bar. Still nowhere near enough. I rang them this morning, told them what was happening, that PTFE tape did not work and now with guns with four different adaptors it was going to be a proverbial pain in the posterior. Yes he agreed, do you want a replacement whip line or refund. I took the whip line option. The guy has been so helpful and I want a filler for use in the field in case we are invaded by hordes of raving rabbids (or as is more likely moron here forgot to top the gun up at the tank)... No arguments, no verbals, no nothing, so I can thoroughly recommend Partridge Guns and Country Clothing as being great to deal with, do some stonking bargains and help when it goes wrong as well!
