BULLDOUG 199
im making some kennels, and wondering for fairly big dogs whats the minimum gauge for the mesh? dont want to make the feckin thing and them to rip through the wire which itself isnt cheap. cheers A lot depends on what dog/s you got buddy, my Stafford pups just bust there face straight through Mesh and herris fencing etc.. THE square welded galv is what you need or bars, even with the bars i had to have another bar put in the center. Make it from good stuff mate, its false econamy not to in the end (i know ive payed 3 times LOL)
gnasher16 31,602
12 gauge is the minimum....but preferably 10.....anything less than 12 and it will bend and twist at best, get chewed through at worst. You wont go wrong with 10 gauge 2x2. Edited March 17, 2011 by gnasher16
