i read a thread on here the other day about the vote on the welsh assembly and some of the lads who commented had some concerns if they were to win the vote.

so now that they have won the vote can someone shed some light on what the lads are worried about, have the welsh assembly threatened, hinted at or promised they will change the hunting laws in wales and if so what do they propose to do? yis wurzil.

They haven't mentioned anything about hunting to my knowledge.. :hmm: I don't think it will make any difference. The Welsh Assembly Government already deals with rural affairs like general licences for taking birds, etc.

Basically, the WAG came up with a law to do with one of the 20 odd areas of legislation they deal with, then had to send it off to London to be rubber stamped. Now they don't need to send if off. We'll know have a similar set up to Scotland.

That's my grasp on it.:thumbs:

Just been looking about, here are the areas in which the WAG has the authority to legislate:

ps. Just done a straight copy and paste from Wikipedia, not sure what all the links are about..:laugh:

thanks again malt, it dont say anything about hunting so hopefully the worried welsh were worrying for nothing :-)

 I think so. People forget that the WAG gave the green light to cull badgers, only for it to be overturned by the bunny huggers in the courts on account of a technicality with the wording on the order. They aren't anti hunting or anything, as far as I know.. :hmm:
