I don't agree with that 3 turns mate. It's that line of thinking that sees the pounds full of lurchers. Folk striving to get better than they have never giving what they have the chance to prove itself. I know guys who go through several dogs a year and I've seen them give away decent dogs that have become excellent dogs in the hands of other owners who were willing to work WITH the dog. You'll never experience that true bond between dog and man you only get from the dog having the security of being with you for life. OK, if the dogs f*****g useless then aye but I've never had one of those. Everyone has had its faults just like I have but everyone makes me happy and thats the only reason I go hunting, I don't do it to brag to the next guy I got 1 more than him.

Well said. Personally I could never sell or give one of my dogs away purely because I'm so attached to them, even if they weren't the best dog in the world.

its not greedy to want a good dog if everyone honest they want a dog that is top notch at whatever it does its a feeling of pride specially if you bred it yourself. some lads just want the best they can to there own standards to please them not any body else

You'll never get the best though, there is always one better than the next, just the way it is. Sometimes you need to stop and enjoy what you have instead of never enjoying what you have cos you think you can get better.
