markha 99
A few months back I bought a new gun, Bettinsoli delux. Its had around 700 shells through it and has worked faultlessly, albeit a bit stiff to close. A couple of weeks ago I went to cock the gun as normal and I was met with a little more resistance than normal, the gun closed and locked fine. It also fired and ejected the used shells fine. The next 2 shells were loaded and the gun still had the extra resistance on cocking, accompanied by some louder than normal cocking of the pins! Fired OK and on this went for the day, difficult cocking with metalic springy noise from the firing pins. So into the gun shop it went. A few day later I call and ask about my gun, the gunsmith said "well we seemed to have cured the stiff and noisy cocking, the firing pin cocking bars werent aligned correctly, but we havent been able to cure the original problem as we dont know what caused it, we rang Bettinsoli and it appears they have also come across this problem and they also dont know what the cause is". Hopefully Ill get the gun back tomorrow and be back to shooting again. Has anyone else had this type of problem with their shotgun, regardless of make? Quote Link to post
