davobob 0
There isnt many free stretches of the Wensum. Where abouts are you? Your best bet is to get a copy of John Wilsons book,Where to fish in Norfolk and Suffolk. It gives good detail of all the fishable water of all rivers in Norfolk and a lot of the stillwaters too. The rivers still have an enforced closed season. Fishing from June 16th - March 15th inclusive. As for licence you need an EA licence to fish any fresh water in the UK. jasper65 6
cheers for the info guys . I'm based near Norwich and thinking of getting my lad out with me fishing. The Wensum is only a few miles away and the Tud virtualy on my doorstep. Its been a few years now since I used to go fishing round Norfolk on the relief Channel and Middle level and a few pits near by. just seen some lakes in Norwich which looked good but was a bit shocked at some of the rule you have to abide by these days , Barbless Hooks only and Unhooking Mats must be used at all times, No home cooked Baits, no night fishing just for a few . things have changed a bit. found this link which gives some idea of the small stretches that can be fished free and parking.
