matt_hooks 188
I know a shotgun instructor who takes the bead off customers shotguns. You shouldn't be looking at the end of the gun, you should be looking at what you want to shoot! If your mount and cheek weld are right, then your gun will point where you're looking (and you can see roughly if the barrel is lined up) You should never "aim" a shotgun, you look at the target and the gun follows! And don't apologise for asking questions. The only stupid question is the one you don't ask! Quote Link to post
stubby 175
also, having a bead would be pointless, as the modded barrel is not true to your aim, with my pedretti hushpower (full modded barrel) if Im shooting a stationary target, I simply aim/point at the very top, ie rabbits ears/pigeons head, as the shot is lower, if using on a moving target, its slightly harder, as not only do you need to give it some lead, but then also move the aim higher, to compensate the moderator, at 30yds the bulk of shot will hit 4" lower than my aiming point, its all trial and error with a modded shotty, but it dosent take long to sort it out with a few practise shots, you wont however be disapointed with a hushpower, not only do they come into their own when used in noise issue areas, or around livestock, but they are still lightweight to be carried around on a rough shoot, but some people are using them for lamping too, with fantastic results, read the review in the link below, 500 plus rabbits in one night using a modded 410 http://www.saddleryandgunroom.co.uk/Gunroom/hushpower/Ed_Cooke_review.htm Quote Link to post
