Shooting into trees and hold over.

Recommended Posts

Hello guys

Sorry I am sure this has been covered, Just after tips on hold over shooting up a tree angle about 45 degrees and such.

Firing on a upwards angle at zero range what sort of hold over would be required roughly with a .177 also downwards.

A link to the relevant post would be just dandy!

No Hold over at all, you would need to use Hold Under ;)

Have a search for Zini's (Si's) explanation, describes it in great detail and if like me you dont get it at first, there is also a graphical demo on the thread that made it all click for me :D

aah, shooting. i almost forgot what this forum was for. cheers for the link, this was something i've also been wondering about recently. i've also been wondering how to practice such angled shots without having to try and climb trees to stick targets up in my walking boots?

Dead Twigs are a good start Darren  as long as there is nothing else like roads or foot paths within 500 yards or so.

You would be suprised how far a pellet will travel

hey mate, if you want to practice this then find a ivy bush. they have berried almost all year round and they make great targets, espeically if there backed by a leaf to show you wear you miss.

Every time I find Ivory I find a big fat woody waiting for my Pitta bread lol.

Cheers for the tip pal.
