bitsa 0
Where abouts in Dorset are you? I'm down near Swanage and always up for a mooch. Although I might not be a great help as my dog's only got one rabbit so far, but he's getting closer all the time. Quote Link to post
matt32 44
I know its near the end of the season and you want to get your first rabbit but maybe the dog needs a bit more time to mature ?i was in the same boat last year my dog was close but just not quite there i left him for a month and he finally entered on the 28th of feb he was 11mth ,as long as youre dogs spotting them running them and coming back when the lights off i dont think you can ask too much more at 9mths.What type of ground are you running the rabbits on i found it helps to enter a dog on ground wher there is longish rough grass as on short grass the rabbits are at ther fastest.Im in somerset mate so not too far from you if you are still needing help im happy for you to come up here and i can take you out on some large arable fields where the rabbits sit far out or on some longish cow pasture fields,if you cant make it up i might possibly be able to make it over to you pm if i can help cheers matt Quote Link to post
