Any One Use The Hawke Sidewinder 30 6-24x56 IR

Wil be useing it with an aa510.Any advice would be helpful.atb. Catcher

I have this scope on my .22lr, its ideal with the SR12 reticle on it. Once you've learnt to use the reticle properly then it is a very handy sight. I find the view goes very cloudy at high mag but if you leave it below 16x then the picture is perfectly clear.

I use my rifle for hunting bunnies. I find that its a bit over complicated for my needs with an infinite amount of adjustments. In hindsight I feel I'd be better off with a fixed mag mildot scope as I rarely change the mag any more.

Its difficult for me to say because I haven't tried any of its rivals for a similar price. I think for my needs i would have been better off with a cheaper scope with less gadgets and gimmicks. The range finding on it works ok, i never use the ir, like I say i pretty much set the mag at 14 now and leave it. I picked mine up off ebay for less than £200 for an ex demo which is a fair price. I would be disapointed if i'd paid full price for it when you can can better quality second hand glass for that money.

All I can really say is give it a go and see how you get on, Some people love them!

I find the mag isn't needed and the glass isn't good enough for such high mag either! Just my opinion!

Just fitted one to my 22lr The high end mag makes for a cloudy image but lower mags are actually very good, good clear image.

I`ll see how I get on with the side focus but so far I`m pleased with the scope. £160 ,ebay ! so if I find its not working for me it`s no great loss as I should get that back on it,, but so far I`m very pleased with it.
