Following blood trail etc. I did however have the opertunity while in Scotland to stalk Roe Deer with a fellow that had a Barvarian Mountain Hound. It was a fantastic dog! Very quiet nautured and stayed by our side during the stalk. After the shot it was released. It found the downed deer without any trouble at all and stood by it's side and barked until we got there. I can see a definate advantage to using a dog over human tracking skills. Unfortunatley for most of us the need of a dog once or twice a year does not justify owning one. Quote Link to post
