AlbertJ 569
Plans are well advanced to make the new Ballywalter Game & Country Living Fair planned for the 30th April and the 1st May 2011 the best ever staged at Ballywalter. Stands are booking up well and in spite of the recession all the competitions have been strengthened and the prize fund is growing steadily. This year the Ballywalter Fair joins the GREAT GAME FAIRS of IRELAND brand and the gundog and clay shooting competitions become qualifiers for the All Ireland All Comers Game Fair Championship finals to be staged at Shanes Castle and the casting competitions become qualifiers for the Final of the Championships at Birr. The novice competitions at Ballywalter and Shanes Castle are qualifiers for the Barbour All Ireland Novice Game Fair Championships Finals at Birr. Terriers and Lurchers which play a central focus in our fairs have not been forgotten and two exciting new competitions are being planned. Both start with qualifiers at Ballywalter but we are happy to consider qualifiers at other shows. All three fairs will be televised by www.fieldsportschannel.tv. Last year's fairs can be viewed in their archives. Full details will be published soon on the web site and in the Spring edition of Irish Countrysports and Country Life magazine out 8th March. And good recession beating news for country sports enthusiasts: The magazine is now available FREE to READ online at www.countrysportsandcountrylife.com - current edition will be archived when new one is published. AND people purchasing a ticket at Ballywalter will get a FREE ticket for Shanes Castle. The magazine celebrates 25 YEARS of continuous publication this year as firstly Irish Hunting,Shooting & Fishing and under its current title. To celebrate this we are donating special 25 year tankards to various events. If you would like one for your event mail me on irishcountrylifestyle@btinternet.com.
