good idea that but how much are solar panels , would like to get proper power out there at some point got a little fridge freezer out there ready for the day lol

the light i got is a camping caravaning one

Chilly go on ebay and find the cheapest 20 watt panel you can afford, make sure it's a monocrystalline type, not amorphous or polycrystalline as they are not too efficient, the battery you get should be a leisure battery type as in caravans and any low wattage led or caravan type lighting and you should be right with that setup, any detailed info you require on this subject give me a pm and i will advise you,

Higgins

thanks higs will check that out now expect a pm lol

no probs pal,to give some idea of solar power,i had an 80 watt panel and a couple of leisure batteries that gave me roughly 180 amps of power,i use this to power lights everywhere kennels ferret hutch,tv,radio, laptop, chargers and occasionally a heater in the very cold months(heaters will drain any batteries so don't use them too long!),you will need an inverter for mains power from 12 volt but since you are directly powering lights you don't need one,

Higgins.
