MuttleMcTuttle 21
Hey Mate , i'm not sure of Sony's range of lens's but something like a 70-200 or 70-300 if Sony does a lens in that range, like the women say a lens should be like a boyfriend " you can never have too much length" Hmmm I'd say "it's not what you've got, it's how you use it..." but... for wildlife photography you will probably need a slightly longer lens or master the art of sneaking up on things! 70-300 is a good size and relatively good value compared to a prime lens. Does the Sony have image stabilising built in? That should help cut out some of the camera shake when using a longer lens, but still bear in mind that your shutter speed will still need to be fairly fast - at least 1/250th of a second if the subject is moving as well. Alternatively, use a tripod and track a moving subject. that will allow you to use a slower shutter speed. Focus is important too. In dull or low-contrast situations you may find that the auto focus won't work too well. Switch to manual focus if the AF won't lock on. Also remember that the longer the lens and wider the aperture (smaller number) the less "depth of field" you will have. this means that the area of the shot that is in focus will be shallower so you need to make sure the focus is locked on to the main subject.
